yes, it is not the truth. it's a lie lie.
But, only a tad bit of cold water:
why are the EPG thumbnails wrong for the first time in ages?
Maybe after the March Basketball Tournament Lineups are determined:
the thumbnails will be correct again?

Anyone else having a guide outage?
I'm in New Jersey on Verizon FiOS - guide stops at Tuesday at 7:30 PM on most channels. However, FOX has a guide through April 25th at 7:30 PM. I'm not using EPG123

From a command prompt, run "start /wait c:\windows\ehome\mcupdate.exe -uf -dbgc" and wait for it to complete. This may clear everything up for you... it does a garbage cleanup of your database (-dbgc) and forces a download/update of all packages (-uf).
I have found that running the above may "unstick" the guide update process when using Rovi.

Did it, guide was back, restarted computer, guide is gone, now it has been "downloading the guide" for 30 minutes. Hopefully it finishes soon?
edit: it just finished

I am also using Verizon FiOS in NJ (Freehold lineup) and it appears to be fine through 4/25.

For the first time in a while, the EPG has not updated for a few days, I sent an email to ROVI/TIVO asking them
to contact Microsoft and ask Microsoft to fix it again.

Rovi/Tivo told me they were aware of the problem with the EPG and were contacting Microsoft.

"guide ends June 18th at 8pm."
Rovi has been notified, opened a case, and sent it on to Microsoft. Since there are no 'error downloading guide' messages, I told them it probably is the infamous (and recurring) loop problem - where the last good file keeps downloading over and over. If so, they just have to delete that file from the server so the latest can download. Hopefully fixed by tomorrow morning.

Similar problem in SE Florida. Neither Comcast nor OTA shows data past 2000, 18 Jun. Tried manual updates; no progress. Still a week of slack remaining. Hoping for quick resolution.

Manual updates or anything else will not help. This is happening for everyone, regardless of provider. Microsoft is working on it, and when fixed, everyone's system will be updated.

I also sent an email (on Sunday) to Tivo/Rovi asking them to contact Microsoft to fix this again. They have been good about getting Microsoft to fix the problem every time I have contacted them. If you need to report EPG outages on WMC here is the Tivo/Rovi email:
metadatasupport@tivo.com.

Please do
not write them. Here is their response this morning:
"Microsoft is aware of the issue and advised they are working to resolve it. At this time there is nothing further we can do on our end."
Rovi has done all they can. MS is already working to fix it. Continuing to write to Rovi under those circumstances is unlikely to be productive.

In fact, it may be counter-productive, as Rovi/TiVo is the only known outlet we have for reporting this problem, and they are under no obligation to notify Microsoft (as we are not their customer, we are Microsoft's customer). If this becomes too much of a burden for them, they may just stop doing it all together.

So rather than report issues to the responsible parties, users should check this forum to see who has already gotten a response so as not to annoy Rovi or Microsoft? If everybody does that, then nobody will report it, and Rovi won't take any action. If only a few people report it, Rovi won't take any action. This is terrible advice.
Maybe their response to this "burden" will be to make the guide more reliable so it doesn't require so much maintenance. I doubt they'll shut down because they get too many emails whenever there's an issue.
