Has anyone figured out how to upgrade the firmware on an Echo? Does it connect to Ceton via http, tftp or something else? I'm hoping there is a way to redirect it with a DNS entry and an alternate server. Got a few I'd like to get to the latest stable firmware.

So I read a bunch of threads, and it seems to me, that with ceton website down, there is no current way to apply firmware updates, much less us the recovery tool (that needed MAC information)
Is that accurate or am I missing something?

Hi. Is there any way to control the Ceton Echo thru IP instead of the IR remote? I believe there are iPhone/Android apps to do this but they are no longer available.

I've kept this under wraps for over two years now but thought I'd share since there seems to be some interest in the echo. This was so close yet so far.

I'm using the DVRMSToolbox add-in for RecordedTVHD. On my HTPC I use the VolumeUp command to toggle skipping of commercials, which works fine.
