WMC Movies thumbnails and metadata

I've had this issue for a few years, but thought I'd see if somebody on this community knows a solution ...

If you record movies on WMC, they show up on both the Recorded TV and in the Movies library just fine [thumbnails and descriptive info]. But as we have quite a few of them (a few hundred), I didn't want them in the Recorded TV, so I made a folder called Recorded Movies and moved all of the recordings for movies to that folder (setting it as part of the media library for Movies).

The Movies are now all properly listed when you look at Movies, but there are no thumbnails, and there's no info shown about the movie (the text that describes it). I didn't realize it until I was recently "playing around" a bit, but if you Play the movie and then Stop it (just a quick Play/Stop sequence is fine) it will then show the descriptive info !!

Anyone seen this? ... and, more important, know how to resolve it ??
