I am having an issue with WMC and lines in the image. These lines are about 1cm tall and run across the screen. It appears as though these lines are leftovers from the previous frame, not being updated. This happens on live tv and playing recorded shows.
This does not happen when I play the recorded shows on the Xbox extender or if I open the files in VLC.
I also was having a problem with WMC opening downloaded YouTube videos. They were working one day, then the next WMC couldn't play them. After searching, I installed Shark007 Advanced Codecs and by clicking the "Reset All" button, WMC was able to open the YouTube videos. But now the lines have appeared. I am not sure if the problem is connected to the codec program or not.
I have tried to reset WMP and WMC without any sucess.

In the Shark007 GUI's, check the box for [x] SUGGESTED settings at the bottom.

I had tried that also but thanks Shark. I rebooted and the lines have disappeared. Silly me for not thinking of that first.
