Thanks Richard

I tried the non torrent download link but it does not work, it just launches the usual Launching Application dialog you see when installing MCS but then says it cant download it. MCS is a web app install, I've never seen a local .exe or .msi file for it!

So presumably this means MCS is now properly DEAD ???

I need to install it on a new HTPC.

Ayup Stu. How's it hanging?! I may have a copy somewhere. I will check tomorrow for you.

-I think there was a copy available to download and I grabbed it. This was last year sometime. Dunno though...memory fading....old age....

Ayup mate!

That would be magic I can't possibly live without Media Center Studio! I never saw an installer for it, it was always a web app installation from his webpage.

Just finished building a Tranquil PC and I was installing all the software today. OMG its fast will post a blog with the specs and more details about the chassis, but with the SSD it boots up in a flash from shutdown and resume from S3 is instant!

Weird, because I just ran Media Center Studio and it worked. Was able to change my menu and theme with no problems.

You just freshly installed MCS? Or you already had it installed and you opened the program?

I already had it installed on my main server. I checked and it is beta version 0.0.6.5. It is a "Click-once" application but doesn't appear to be connecting to the net to run.

My laptop must have a newer version, because it does try to connect to the net, but fails.

I think I may have the download version of 0.0.6.5 and I am going to load it on my laptop and see what happens. Sorry, off to work, back in 14 hours.

The problem here isn't running MCS...it's downloading it.
