Disable fast skipping in Program Guide??

Disable fast skipping in Program Guide??
Does anyone know if there is a way to stop Windows 7 from fast skipping in the Program Guide when you press and hold the buttons? I'd prefer to just watch the guide move across the screen, rather than having it disappear and be replaced with the word "morning" "afternoon" and "evening"... Anyone?
