Remote Desktop, SSH and Android

This probably isn't the best place for my question, but I don't feel like finding a new forum and signing up, lol. Are any of you using remote desktop through an SSH tunnel on an Android phone? I do it with my computer, and had been doing it with my old winmo phone, but I haven't got it working on Android yet. I can connect via SSH to my router, and create a tunnel, but cannot get the Android remote desktop app to use the tunnel. On my laptop, or old winmo phone, I would point the remote desktop client to 127.0.0.1:9999, where 9999 is the port I am using for the tunnel. I just cannot get it to work on Android. Suggestions?

I am using connectbot for SSH and 2xClient for RDP.

I'll think about this a do some leg work tomorrow. I use a simple port forward and phonefactor for 2 factor authentication. Simple and effective.

I got it working by following the steps here: http://vimalkumar.in/2010/04/26/remote- ... e-android/ Basically I had it setup as a remote mapping and it should have been local. I also switched to using Remote RDP, instead of 2xclient. Both worked fine, but I liked Remote RDP more.
