Not starting in LiveTV mode

#1

Post by dishwater63 » Thu Jul 11, 2013 1:45 pm

So, I've attempted to force MCE to start in LiveTV mode every time by using this:

%windir%\ehome\ehshell.exe “/mcesuperbar://tv?live=true”

However, it doesn't. It looks like it tries to, but all I get is a black screen and a spinning wheel. If I exit out, then go back in, LiveTV works fine.

Try Media Center Valve. See here:

You need to signup and login to the missingremote site in order to download the file.

Have you tried that command without the quotes just for a laugh?

%windir%\ehome\ehshell.exe /mcesuperbar://tv?live=true

You can also try using the following command (this one will probably show the wmc startup animation if you haven't disabled it):

%windir%\ehome\ehshell.exe /homepage:VideoFullscreen.xml /PushStartPage:True

Sorry for the late response, I've been out of town for a week.

Well holidayboy, you were right. Trying it without quotes worked like a charm. Fired right up in liveTV mode. Thanks for the help! Sorry for the simple mistake!
