I use MCEBuddy to convert my .wtv files to .avi and remove commercials so that I can watch them via Plex Media Server. For the most part I am happy with MCEBuddy, it seems to do a good job in the background, but frequently it doesn't identify the specific episode and therefore Plex can't download information for the show. For example, after conversion and commercial removal, a typical file will look something like this:
Nature WTTWDTV 2013-03-13 14:30
which isn't very helpful for Plex. Only occasionally will it helpfully list the specific name of the episode, but again Plex doesn't like it because Plex naming convention looks for say Nature S13E02 and I end up with Nature WTTWDTV David Attenborough Part 1 or something similar.
Does anyone know of an add-in or program better than MCEBuddy that will do all of this in one step, or maybe one additional step and is hopefully free?
