BB10 Support
Any talk of making a BB10 version of this app (or porting over Androids)?
I'd love to get this on my Z10.

It makes sense to spend time working on products that currently dominate the market and emerging products that may dominate the market in the future. Products that are near extinction, not so much. Of course, Ceton did develop a WP version, and that doesn't make much sense, so maybe they'll spend the time on the BB version. But I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you.

By that same logic Ceton should get out of the Windows Media Centre game completely.
I wouldn't be surprised if BB10 outsells WP8.

BB was previously launched and was at one time a very popular product. In recent years, consumers have compared BB to other products and have overwhelmingly chosen the other products over BB, leaving BB at a point of near-extinction. Basically, consumers have purposely declined BB. MMC isn't going to resurrect BB sales.
On the other hand, WMC was never really launched. It was just kind of thrown out there, with no major push to get it into use. Consumers haven't compared WMC to other solutions, and they haven't purposely declined WMC. Most people simply don't know about WMC. Actively developing and pushing WMC may actually get the product launched....and only after the market purposely declines WMC will I agree that it makes sense to get out of the WMC game.

Damn, ok.Motz wrote:No plans at this time, however that might change. Unfortunately there are too many limitations to the "android" porting to BB10 so the app is unable to be a simple port.
I know (in the near future), BB are upgrading their Android Runtime to 4.2 (currently 2.3) - hopefully that could make porting easier...

Couldn't you just buy one Motz and write it off as a work related tax expense? Or better yet....just get Ceton to get one for you?

I for one would love to see it for my PlayBook as well. That'd be exciting if the Jellybean update made an android port possible.

So the biggest issue and I am not sure if it will change is that we use Mono from Xamarin for iOS/Android. with that it required native code to be bundled with the APK http://docs.xamarin.com/guides/android/ ... n_Packages . According to this http://developer.blackberry.com/android ... tures.html
Apps that utilize native code bundled into their APK file is not supported
We will see if it changes with the latest.
