Double commands registered by Echo from remote
I've noticed that through using the echo that if I press a button on my remote, it will many times do that command twice. For instance, if I press "up" it will go up, up. Now, originally I assumed the problem was with my remote. I was using a Harmony 300. I have since replaced that with a harmony 600 and I am still seeing the same issue at times. Has anyone else seen this or is it really just my remote(s)? For reference, I have set the remote up to use a linksys dma-2100 for settings since ceton is not an option with the harmony setup yet. Also, neither remote had this problem controlling my tv.

I had the same problem. I'm using the installed Harmony software, not the web interface.
Open the software and go to Devices.
Select the device your using for the Echo.
Select troubleshoot.
Select ...responds to some commands either too many times or only occasionally.
follow directions.
Hope this helps.

I'm using the Microsoft WMC PC profile on my Harmony for Echo and it works fine. I've also been trying to reach out to Logitech to get a Ceton Echo profile added, but they have been impossible to work with - I cornered someone at CES last weekend, I'm hopeful that may go somewhere.

I have the same problem with using a real Microsoft RG6 remote. (the one that can be programmed to turn on and off the TV and adjust the TV volume) The boxed remote that comes with the Echo works fine (but is just too small to use and can't be programmed). It seems like the echo is realllllly touchy as far as this goes. I don't want to buy another harmony. The Microsoft remote does everything I need it to, but gets a lot of double presses.

Thanks for reminding me about this, I should have remembered it. Did the trick.

That would be the best solution, good luck! But, things work ok the way it is at least.

I'm using Linksys DMA-2100 as profile for my Logitech Harmony Touch - and it works perfectly without any double commands.

It's not the profile that causes some of us the problem. My echo had the double press issue even with the included remote.Stofferdreng wrote:I'm using Linksys DMA-2100 as profile for my Logitech Harmony Touch - and it works perfectly without any double commands.
