Intel HD4000 not HDCP ????

#1

Post by kc10boom » Wed Nov 28, 2012 7:28 am

I just got my system put together with my i3 and installed the latest Intel HD4000 graphics. It says that my card isn't HDCP complaint on my HD channels??

WTF?

* Update *

I hooked it to the TV and everything worked fine, so I hooked it back to the AVR then unplugged/plugged the HDMI cable back in to the PC. It seems to have figured things out.

* Update part deux

Everytime I turn off my AVR it does the same thing...time to go back to my nVidia card and avoid the hassle

You can also check and see if the avr has a firmware update available if it can be updated I would check that also.

Still does the same thing and my AVR has the latest firmware. No big deal, I just bought my GT430 a month ago so might as well use it. I suppose I could have saved $30 and just bought an i3 with the HD2000 since I already had the nVidia card.

I think a Windows update dorked up my DRM and HDCP.

I'll just say the way I activated Windows wasn't the typical method and an update broke it :evil:

What AVR? How long is the HDMI cable? Intel GPUs are very sensitive to timing, sometimes a longer cable (12'+) helps.

Windows updates are evil, especially when paired with atypical methods of activation. :evil:
