SRM5100 in UK
Hi,
Does anyone know anywhere in the UK that'll have the Philips 4-in-1 Media Center remote available?
If not, I'll get the Origen AE Backlit one...

Hmmm.
Plenty of black HP ones on ebay that appear to have the "mode" switch. Blooming ugly, though.

This site says they have 6 (of course it says they also have the SRM7500 though!):

I got an Origen one (at least it's backlit) and on of the Ugly HP ones. We'll see.
I also ordered one of the HDMI-CEC Injectors... I'll wait for that to show. We'll need an MCE Plugin that we can use to send commands (possibly to IRSS?), so you can go to green button, enter the plugin, then select the command you want just using the up/down left/right buttons. Maybe.

There already is a program for CEC and it does a lot more than you are talking about too. If you already own a Rainshadow tech hdmi-cec bridge you can get just the software here http://shop.rcaware.com/PC-CEC-Download-PC-CEC-SW.htm. If you need the bridge with program that is here http://shop.rcaware.com/RCAware-PC-CEC- ... C-BNDL.htm.

I didn't/don't own a hdmi-cec bridge, although I ordered one when the topic arose the other month.
I think it must be on it's way though, 'cos I've just had a random Customs Duty bill from a courier
So, I'm a little miffed that I might have to order additional software and/or firmware to get it to work.
But, thanks for the link.

Did you get it yet? How do you like it? What software are you using?

Bit of a delay, while the sun was out I found other things to do. Now it's cold and miserable, and because I've got a shiney new HTPc, I want to pick this up again.hotbuddha wrote:Did you get it yet? How do you like it? What software are you using?
I'm a little confused as to what I need to install, however, if it'll work with the CEC bridge I've got and if there's a trial version of the software?
