Invalid Application using TV Archive - how to fix

#1

It took me ages to work out how to fix this. When trying to launch "TV Archive" (added when you have a Windows Home Server, mine is 2011) on WMC on win 7 I'd get a very helpful message telling me that it was an "Invalid Application".

I only found 1 link to this problem so thought I'd post the link here. The solution wasn't made by me.

There is some discussion about how to get around needing to boot of a linux disk by changing ownership/permissions, I did this.

Hope it helps someone else out too!

I have this same issue on my new built Server (WHS 2011)..
The fix works, however if you use Media Browser you loose Folder.jpg's, Backdrop .jpg's and Metadata in Media Browser completely. All my metadata is stored locally in each folder for each movie and after applying the fix it just will not display in Media Browser...
It fixes the TV Archive issue for sure but it breaks other functionality in other programs and to me that's not a fix.. yet.. I did post over at the Media Browser forums here as well.. http://community.mediabrowser.tv/permal ... ia-browser
