Windows Phone Tango From AT&T

#1

Post by newfiend » Wed Jul 25, 2012 2:07 am

So I hooked up my Samsung Focus S to my Zune software tonight and got 4 updates and one Samsung update for my phone. If your on AT&T you might want to try hooking up your phone to get the latest updates.. Yay no more disappearing keyboard as I type! Man that was annoying!!! Finally fixed!!

I received an update notification this morning, as did my other half. Both Orange UK, one unlocked O2 handset and also a SIM free handset. Magic :)

I can't remember the exact wording, but it's something like "Build 7740. Your phone is up to date"

Zune lies!!

I had my quarterly rant at T-Mobile yesterday about their lack of updates on WP7. My next phone will not be from T-Mobile.

At&t are terrible in the U.S. For getting us updates as well. I have had the magic disappearing keyboard issue for almost a year now and they held back the update that fixes that until Tango came out.. Talk about upset.. Everyone in the UK had that update a long time ago.. Grr!

No, no, no! See my post above. I'm still on 7740, the build with the vanishing keyboard. It was 8107 that had the keyboard fix. I'd love to even get that out of date upgrade!

T-Mobile are useless.

Hopefully you should get it soon.. They seem to be rolling out updates in a strange fashion this time. I got mine last night but my wife's focus had no updates.. I will say my phone is much more responsive now and I can type without the keyboard taking a hiatus.. I thought the UK had been pushing out the tango update for awhile now..

My Samsung Focus v1 (AT&T) updated to 7.10.8773.10 the other day. I had to do some tweaking to get the fix for the disappearing keyboard months ago, maybe that triggered my latest update.

I'm on 7.10.8773.98 now.

Sorry Mark. (You do still have that ridiculously fast internet connection to smile about though!)

:)

Maybe I just need to drag a really long ethernet cable around with me, and use that rather than the useless T-mobile?
