I upgraded my motherboard and processor and ever since I've been I've having this white, flickering line at the very top of my screen. It almost looks like an overscan issue, but overscan is set to 0 in the Catalyst control center. I've tried various driver packages and moved HDMI ports around to no avail. I don't notice it when watching Blu Rays thru TMT5, just when watching recorded or live TV through Media Center. Any suggestions? I'd hate to have to go back to a standalone video card, I pretty much just upgraded to take advantage of the onboard 3D Blu Ray playback and UEFI booting . . .
My config:
CPU: AMD A8-3870K
Mobo: MSI A75A-G55 (using onboard Radeon 6550D graphics via HDMI to receiver, then to Panasonic HDTV)
Memory: Kingston HyperX 16GB (4x4GB)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Flickering line is driving me crazy . . .

That line "should" be there. It's extra data in the tv signal. It's usually hidden as it relies on overscan to hide it. It depends on the channel, the source, the time of day, etc... It can be a nuisance. Is this cable or OTA? HD, SD, or SD up converted by the broadcaster?

Cable. I figured that was what it was but I'm not sure how to get rid of it. The only zoom adjustments on my TV are full and 95%, which does blow it up, but the line is still visible with either setting.

Hmm. There is a hotfix for a line at the right of the screen. Don't know about at the top though...

Sounds like the "line 21" captions to me. Line 21 captions is binary data encoded into the video stream at horizontal line 21. This is a US (or maybe North America) problem only. Basically, the Closed Captions are encoded into the video stream at line 21. This looks like a broken, white, blinking line at the top of the screen.
If this is what you are seeing, the only way to get rid of it is with the overscan settings in 1) your TV, or 2) Media Center. If your TV doesn't have this setting, you can adjust it in Media Center's settings menu. That's "Settings > General > Windows Media Center Setup > Configure Your TV or Monitor". Here, if you choose the correct type of monitor, you will be able to calibrate your display... and this includes the ability to center/size the image so that things like the Line 21 captions will be off the visible area of the screen.

Put WMC in windowed mode. This will force WMC to overscan the video image (WMC has a 5% overscan in windowed mode). If the line goes away, go through display setup and configure your display as any type other than Television. This will permanently overscan all video played through WMC by 5%.
If the line doesn't go away in windowed mode, it's something else.

Okay, I've got a video of it. I am just going to show a few captures to get the gist of it. It doesn't do it all the time. If the content isn't full screen, it doesn't show up in the black bars. It is also not at the very top as I thought. It's about 5-6 pixels down from the upper portion of the image. From where my chair is I am looking slightly up. Right on top of it you can see the location though.
It's also only there on full screen, not windowed. However, it does not appear on the Windows desktop - just in Media Center. I haven't noticed it in TMT5, either.
Image 1 - beginning of view (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, lots of bright colors). Very visible, stays in that pixel "row"

Where is that option at? I know it's a 600MHz plasma. I'm feeding it 1920x1080@60Hz, wouldn't 50/100 be non-NTSC?
