I am presently unable to use my Ceton because WMC can't see the internet connection. If I buy a Silicon Dust Cable Box will
WMC still require Activation to record off the Silicon Dust box or is the cable card activated differently?

Changing TV tuners will require you to re-run WMC tv tuner setup. Cable card activation has nothing to do with WMC activation. (i.e. if you already set up WMC and it is working for some CC tuner it does not need to be re-activated). Cable card activation is something your Cable provider will do via "hits" to the card to activate/pair it with your tuner. I do not understand why WMC would not see your internet connection. But if it does not then it seems doubtful that it would work with a SD box since that resides on the network.
