Extenders on WMC for Windows 10
Hi Guys. I apologize in advance, but I was just wondering if this Windows 10 version of WMC supports extenders?

I believe the answer is no due to differences in remote desktop. I do know that WMC 8.8.5 (8.9.0) had the code for supporting extenders disabled, but v12/v13 (8.9.1) still has the code enabled. I am assuming that extender support in 8.8.x was removed for a reason; meaning it doesn't work.

Thank you Gary. Appreciate everything you have done to keep WMC alive. EPG123 is a great piece of software! I really love my extenders, so might have to stick with Windows 7 for now.

I did a load of testing on this and documented it here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=12813
TLDR:
The last combination that Xbox extenders worked on without problems was Windows 10 V1511 and WMC V12.
Even then, there were hoops to jump through.
Third party extenders like the Ceton Echo don't work in any useful way on Windows 8 or Windows 10.
I find it interesting that they stopped working on Windows 10 at the same time as Cable Cards and suspect that it is more than just the changes to RDP that breaks it.
