EPG123 status logo on WMC MINI PC without tuner

First thing, I apologize if this has been asked but I couldn't find anything related to this topic.

New MINI PC from KAMRUI AK1 Pro https://tinyurl.com/KAMRUIAK1Pro

I have the system up to date with Window 11 Pro.

WMC is version 8.9.1 from https://garyan2.github.io/win10.html.

I have an older tower PC with Windows 8 that has been my main WMC computer for recording and watching TV. (I will be updating this tower to a higher Windows version soon.) I am moving to a mini PC so that I can hide the unit better in our living room. I have been able to connect to the shared/mapped folders where the recorded TV is stored and watching those recordings works just fine.

I will not have any tuners in this MINI PC as I don't really care to watch live TV, just recorded or DVD movies. It seems like the EPG123 client tool requires the PC its running on to have tuners installed in order for the status logos to appear inside of WMC. IS this really true and if not can someone point to a thread or other source the explains how to make it work? I want to be able to monitor the status of the EPG123 guide tool, like when my Schedules Direct subscription run out. The WMC tower will be in another part of the house, not being looked at often after I make the switch.

Thanks for any details, Matt

The status logo is generated after each guide import into WMC. Since you are not importing the guide (since you have no tuners), you won't get any status logo.

The best you could do is go to the server's status page in your browser, but then you would only be able to see whether the last update was successful. You will also have access to the server log file to see any warnings or errors.

Thanks for the information. I had not investigated this tool enough to know there was a web browser service running.

How much of an effort would it be for you to develop a small tool to install on a client (non-tuner) WMC system? I dont have the necessary skills at this time to develop this myself.

Thanks, Matt
