Image downloads from SD

I haven't got a reply from SD yet for some details, but if you find that WMC is not downloading any series images this is the current "fix". All you need to do is open the configuration GUI, let it login to SD, and then exit. It will refresh whatever timer exists that gives you authorization/access to the images.

Are you talking about just opening epg123.exe? When I do this "login" is greyed out (credentials are filled in). Is this sufficient to reset the timer?

Yes. The GUI will automatically log you in when you open it. That is enough for SD to recognize you and allow access to the images. Now as to why that access is being expired before a 24-hour timeout from last login, I don't know and is on SD to determine that. It is just completely random as far as I can tell.

I submitted a trouble ticket to SD 6 days ago about this problem, but no response from them yet.

If others having this issue also submit a ticket, It might help get their attention.

A pre-release version 1.7.0.0-beta has been released to add a service that will take care of this issue and some more nice features.

In my tiny effort to help I tried epg123Setup_v1.7.0.1 on a second machine (not my main HTPC) and the upgrade was painless, as was updating the schedule. If I can figure out what the new features are, I'll test!

I have not been having any SD problems recently, so I may not be the main audience for your fixes. In any case, nothing broke that I can see.
