Problem importing program guide

#1

Post by lucasbuck » Sat Nov 07, 2020 12:13 pm

I've had EPG123 working fine in the past but was doing a reinstall. I've tried different versions from 1.3 to 1.5, removed the program, all traces, etc. I keep having the same problem. The install looks like it works fine, my lineup shows up in the configuration fine. But when all is done the lineup does not show up in/ move to the client, it says 0 lineups. I've tried everything and can't get it to show up in the client. Any suggestions please?

Check the configuration GUI and make sure you have your lineup(s) to download INCLUDED.

Thanks for the reply. I had checked that. The configuration looks like it always did, all channels show up and are checked off. But in the configuration nothing is pulled in and it says 0 lineups.

Have you looked at you log file? Could you post your log file for the last update attempts?

Stupid question. is the log file the tracer one? I think my problem is it gives me an error about the WMC database when I go to install. Steps I'm taking are to remove program, and go to reinstall. But when I do, it still remembers my service and channels. I don't have to input my zip code so it's remembering it from somewhere. It would probably fix my problem if I could truly remove everything and start over. But obviously it's remembering bits and pieces..

Yes, the log file is the trace.log file and you can view it using the [View Log] button in the GUIs or if you right-click the tray icon and select 'View Log File'.

The client will not import the guide listings unless you have your tuners setup in WMC (Step 2 of EPG123 installation instructions). If you haven't done that, then it will abort. I don't know if you have setup WMC or not, but if not, this is the reason. EPG123 doesn't do anything for/to your WMC setup... that has to be done by you.

It was something to do with the tuners, I had to run through the setup a couple times but it took. Thank you so much for the help and the great program!
