2020-04-20 @ 12:00. Database recovered. Service back online for clients.

NOTE: as clients connect to download updates, expect a performance impact until client backlog clears.

Isn't it nice to get actual information as to any problems and reasons for service interruptions? (plus pretty rapid problem resolution). For example last week I filed a SD ticket because my cable lineup was a bit out of date after changes by Comcast, corrected lineup was there within a couple of days. Well worth $25 a year IMO

Agreed. But, for some people apparently even $25 is too much for that level of service. Go figure.

Are people still having issues here? I'm 3 days down on guide data, and EPG123 is throwing random behavior - no channel list, API errors, sometimes the offline message as above...?

Mine was messed up also but got it working. 1: Got rid of the "offline for maintainance" box by hitting the log in again. 2: Ran a "save and execute", resulting in the dreaded red X. 3: Saved a backup (just in case) and then had it rebuild the database. 4: Did another save and execute and it's all green again.

Yes indeed. I had the same issue with Comcast, they got rid of indiplex, retorplex, StarzEncore Classic, StarzEncore Suspense, and added ScreenPix, ScreenPix Voices, ScreenPix Action, and ScreenPix Westerns. I emailed them on the 15th, so 5 five days including two weekend days. And they were dealing with the maintenance issue to boot.

Here are the warning messages I got when updating after the outage:

Code: Select all

[4/20/2020 5:42:54 AM] [WARNG] Problem occurred during buildAllProgramEntries(). Did not process all program description responses.
[4/20/2020 5:42:56 AM] [WARNG] Problem occurred during getAllMoviePosters(). Did not process all movie image responses.
[4/20/2020 5:42:56 AM] [WARNG] Problem occurred during getAllSeriesImages(). Did not process all series image links.
Not sure exactly what this means, or if any missing data will be filled in during the next successful connection to SD.

The next connection did seem to be OK, although it did have one glitch:

Code: Select all

[4/20/2020 7:47:40 PM] Entering buildAllProgramEntries() for 49616 programs.
[4/20/2020 7:47:49 PM] [ INFO] Found 36623 cached program descriptions.
[4/20/2020 7:49:20 PM] [ INFO] Successfully retrieved 2993 program descriptions. (0:00:01:31.2645630 / 9.219 MB)
[4/20/2020 7:50:18 PM] [ INFO] Successfully retrieved 5000 program descriptions. (0:00:02:29.4774735 / 11.501 MB)
[4/20/2020 7:52:49 PM] [ INFO] SD API WebException Thrown. Message: The operation has timed out , Status: Timeout . Trying again.
[4/20/2020 7:55:30 PM] [ INFO] Successfully retrieved 5000 program descriptions. (0:00:07:41.4630720 / 11.902 MB)
[4/20/2020 7:55:42 PM] [ INFO] Processed 49616 program descriptions.
[4/20/2020 7:55:42 PM] Exiting buildAllProgramEntries(). SUCCESS.
A timeout, but it looks like the retry was successful.

So my main question is if the "program descriptions" and images that were not processed in the first connection were retried and successfully processed during the second connection?

Yes, any successful run of an update includes ALL entries regardless whether it was unsuccessful before or not. For every run, if there is information missing, it will request it as part of the download from SD.
