Only 4 of 6 tuners detected
Installed EPG123 in December. No problems, a great system. During the install I recall clicking a box regarding maximum 4 tuners override or something like that and assumed until now all was well. (Of course it is rare that all 6 are needed). Last night Comcast went down and I got the no tuners message with the list of tuners. 4 only, not 6, so I guess my original install got goofed up in that regard. Is there an easy way to get the other two tuners back without going through a complete new install? Not an emergency here, so if you have family/COVID-19 issues please take care of them first (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

If you currently only have 4, then the increase did not stick when you went through step 1 of the client setup.
You don't have to perform the whole thing again, you just need to...
1. Open the client and click the [Tweak WMC] -> [Increase] buttons.
2. Close the client and perform just the TV Setup using settings->TV->TV Signal->Set Up TV Signal.
3. When TV Setup is done, close WMC and open the client.
4. Click the Match by: [# Number] button.

Many thanks, Gary. Say "no" to terms of service again I presume, right? Or is that maybe gone now that the old guide is dead?

Go ahead and say no. You would probably be safe to go ahead and accept, but no reason to do so.

Well this did not go well. Followed the stated steps, saying no to terms, etc. stated 6 tuners afterward, but then went to live TV and no guide data at all. Went back and clicked yes on the terms and continued. Got two screens, first was "Tv setup data not available , do you wish to continue?" Clicked yes and got "Downloadable Guide available screen." Where did I go wrong?
How get my guide back? Better off with 4 tuners with guide than 6 without (ha ha).

You forgot step 4. If you still have 6 tuners, that is all you need to do.

Not sure why I am not seeing the response I just sent so trying again.
I am sure i did that but nothing happened. Now I just clicked it again, the client closed down and then I went to WMC, clicked on Guide and each channel is there with the No data available label.

The client should not close. Is there anything in the trace.log file? What version are you running?
Could you create a backup using the [Backup] button in the client and send the zip file to support@garyan2.net? I can take a look here on a VM.

Another question, did you have the client open while you were scanning with the 6 tuners, and then tried the Match by: [# Number] button? If so, the client would definitely fail then... it was not using the most up-to-date version of your database.

It is possible I had the client minimized, so probably yes.
Try try doing the TV signal set up again being sure the client is closed down?

If you reopen the client and try again, it should work.

No, just the last. Make sure the client is closed, open the client, and click the Match by: [# Number] button.

That did it. Sorry I goofed that up. By the way, to dump unwanted channels (not subscribed to or not tuneable ones) in my version of the software, best to do so in WMC or in the Client tool? I do not have your version with the red and green clickers I guess (Dec install)

Not sure what you mean by the red and green clickers.
In the client, you can select all the channels you want to get rid of on the left side and then click the red 'X' to delete them. Left-click channel 2000, scroll down to channel 9999 and while holding the [Shift] key, left click channel 9999. This should select all channels in between as well. Click the red 'X' and will ask you to verify you want to delete 8000 channels. Answer and you're done.

And that is better than doing it in the WMC Guide edit area?
