With EPG123 installed, on main screen I get the Red Terminal Icon
On 2 out of 3 system,s I get the red icon with green + above it on the bottom right. It appears to be downloading the listing that day but why do I get it? How can it clear it? I have restored from the backup function and re-excuted but still get it.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Take a look at the trace.log file to find the [ERROR] entries. Click the [View Log] button to view the trace.log file.

ok, I did the update to 1.3.4 and did the save/execute again.
The last error was (how can I clear the log file?):
[1/4/2020 12:34:40 PM] [ INFO] Successfully queried the Task Scheduler for status. ERROR: Access is denied. Status in scheduler in Schedule Task i Error: Access denied in red. I guess I will have to go thru Shutup10 and enable the creation of tasks?
I did the task scheduler thru EPG123 Client.

For the Win10 system, I changed Shutup10 and enabled tasks and rebooted, now the icon has brown ! in it. I will find out what that means.

That status is expected if you are running Win10. It is not an ERROR for EPG123. Is there an [ERROR] entry with the brackets?purpleb wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2020 6:39 pm ok, I did the update to 1.3.4 and did the save/execute again.

The '!' means there is a warning in the log... in that case, look for the [WARNG] entries with the brackets.

Ok, I looked at the log and saw the PVRSchdlr was not enabled. I enabled it, checked EPG123 Client and with the same error:
In the log file, the error was:
[1/4/2020 2:03:00 PM] [ERROR] Unhandled exception caught from epg123Client.exe. message: Access to the path 'Global\{CD7E6857-7D92-4A2F-B3AB-ED8CB42C6F65}' is denied.

I think I got it now. I had to enable something else for Win10 in Shutup10. I went to Task Schedule and ran it. It showed it was running. It still shows Brown ! but you said that was normal for Win10.
Thanks for the insights.

But log file still shows access denied. I guess with this system, I will live with it.

I'm not familiar with Shutup10, so if you know what changes you needed to make to allow EPG123 to do an update?
Sorry, I wasn't clear. With Win10 it is expected to see the ERROR: Access is denied for the scheduled task. The yellow '!' icon is giving a warning that something in your guide may not be correct, or that your Schedules Direct membership is about to expire.
The only way to see the Scheduled Task status is to run with elevated privileges... run as administrator.

Can you filter, trap such an error as it is not relevant so the end user wont see it and get concerned?

It is not an error and does not get logged in the event logger nor does it affect the status logo in WMC. It does cause some confusion, though.
