I think its called Movies under Windows 7, 8, and 10. DVD Gallery to my knowledge was a xp setting you changed with TweakUI to get a browsable list of of DVD Movies. I think since windows 7 and above it has been much simpler to add movie directories. I hope that's what you were asking, if not I am sorry.

Thank, but not exactly. You can put DVD's under movies also, but it used to be possible to change Play DVD to make DVD Galley, editing one registry setting.

The gallery has to be enabled in Vista. They opened up the feature in Windows 7.

I don't remember how I did it atm, and I'm not even sure this is what you are asking, but when I insert a DVD, into Win10, the dvd art appears in the Movie folder. Then it is playable from the remote.
Disregard TotalMediaTheater (TMT5) that was a total failure for a DVD. Might test BR in the future.

Correct, In Vista WMC you NEEDED to do a registry hack to enable the DVD library. This is no more but, it was replaced with a more feature rich Movie Library that handles, video files, DVD files and other formats (as long as you have the correct codec installed and windows knows how to treat it).mcewinter wrote:The gallery has to be enabled in Vista. The Movie Library in Windows 7/8/10 is FAR better than the Vista version ever was.....Trust me on this one...
