UPDATE! I reprogrammed my TV signal, as I saw in this forum that would be necessary. After reprograming I was able to get all channel programing info for the Chicago area ...ZIP 60070
Earlier I had reported same problem as many have had of guide saying it was complete and then having no data.
Thank you for those who gave helpful info.

Yep. There were several posts that insisted that DNS wasn't the issue. As it turns out it was. In the end I recovered WMC flushed the DNS and changed the HOST file. Waste of time if you ask me.Crash2009 wrote:edit the hosts file, run ipconfig /dnsflush, then tv setup.Jimmersd wrote:I have one PC working with 32789 and the other rejects because of too many failures. 32765 and 32789 both work.

For the Dallas Fort Worth area in TX I tried many ZIP codes and failed many times. Then I used the Zip for the airport (75261) and it worked. I would suggest to anyone having an issue try there local airport ZIP code.

Regarding OTA data for Milwaukee and / or Madison, WI........
Originally ran MC set-up using 53039 (which used to give Madison and Milwaukee data with Zap2it) and now only gives all Milwaukee channels plus some Chicago channels and one Madison channel 3.1 & 3.2.
Then re-ran set-up using 53925 which gives all Madison channels plus almost all Milwaukee channels...... so close and yet so far. The odd thing is 4.1, 12.1, 24.1 and 52.1 are all listed on the Madison OTA EPG but missing are channels 4.2 WTMJ, 4.3 Cozi TV, 12.2 Movies, 24.2 Country TV, 24.3 Grit TV, 52.2 WWRS2, 52.3 WWRS3, 52.4 WWRS4 and 52.5 WWRS5.......... so close.
Also 41WMLW is listed but is actually 49.1WMLW (RF#48) including 49.2 Bounce, 49.3 ThisTV & 49.4 TeleWI (which are not listed).
Milwaukee channels 6.1, 6.2, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, 18.1, 18.2, 30.1, 36.1, 36.2, 36.3, 36.4, 36.5, 36.6, 55.1, 55.2, 55.3, 55.4, 55.5, 55.6, 58.1, 58.2, 58.3 and 58.4 are all there listed on the Madison OTA EPG...........odd.
I have noted this on the Microsoft site 1145 website and also on the MSN TV listing website.
I have noticed some progress but it looks like they have a ways to go yet.

No luck with Denver zip codes 80205, 80206, 80228 after resetting WMC several times (disabling it, deleting all of the eHome folder and reenabling it. The EPG download failed on an old HP computer on which it had previously been working (all Windows updates downloaded), and also on a computer with a "clean" Windows 7 Pro install with all updates downloaded. Still hoping/waiting for a fix.Joystick123 wrote:Denver CO had success with zip 80205 Was looking for OTA only.
But before that my media center was in sad shape. Caused by many unsuccessful attempts at repair and reloads.
This sites instructions fixed me right up.

I was able to get Bloomington Illinois zip code 61704 to work last night and download the guide. I did not do any of the computer configuration changes to get the zip code to work. I have just been patient trying different zip codes until finally my zip code worked. Woo Hoo!

Okay, here is the latest. I was able to set up for OTA with zip code 80206 on the HP Win 7x86 Home Premium. This system has been using WMC EPG for a number of years and appears to have switched to Rovi okay. I am guessing that previous failure was because of temporary outage of Rovi.Anthonx wrote:No luck with Denver zip codes 80205, 80206, 80228 after resetting WMC several times (disabling it, deleting all of the eHome folder and reenabling it. However on Lenovo clean install of Win7x64 Professional says "Unable to Load Setup Data." I cannot check that EPG is set up to Rovi because there are no menus to check it after this failure. Does the ability to work with Rovi come with a Windows update to WMC? How do you set up WMC to use Rovi if it is a fresh Windows install with updates?

Confirming that 32803 in Central Florida (orlando) works for MCE OTA guide. The guide contents in terms of the station name is much more detailed with the Rovi service.

All, 37035 stopped working some time today, 8/14/15. I'm on Charter Spectrum and Charter says that they do not host the channel guides for WMC. I have a Ceton InfiniTV5 PCIe and a Ceton InfiniTV6 ETH and both have the same problem. Does anyone know where these guides are supposed to come from so we know who to contact about this ?
