I have been trying to find a method to update the Play Count of music tracks within the windows media library, but have so far failed. I noticed that someone has written a nice little script for iTunes, and was hoping there may be a cimilar solution for WMC / WMP.
The reason I'm trying to do this is that over time I am slowly replacing all of my "old" average quality rips with superior quality / lossless rips. When the old file is replaced with the new, all playcount info is lost.
If anyone has a solution, I would love to hear it. Am running Vista Home Premium, SP's all up-to-date.
