Live TV buffer not working properly on HDD (SSD is OK)

Thanks again for fixing this for me. I really appreciate your efforts.

As discussed via email, I'm still not sure why you could replicate the problem using the SSD whereas for me it worked perfectly. However, it is clear that you solved it because there isn't any problem with live TV buffering/skipping etc.

A possible side effect of your change is now MC keeps popping up messages about there being no signal to record a TV show. I have to acknowledge the message (sometimes a couple of times) but the show seems to record just fine, ie the signal is OK.

Is this a coincidence or side effect?

I don't wan't to change the focus of this thread, so if it continues I will do more tests (like restore the registry setting for a few days) & see if I can prove it one way or another.
