Audio is absent at WMC start up

#1

inconsistently, audio is not present when I open WMC to live TV. I've found that if I switch to recorded TV, start a recording, then stop it and switch back to Live TV, the audio is now present. Any ideas why this is happening?

Don't know the answer to the issue but I have the same problem. Its not a new problem for me either. What works sometimes is to hit the pause button then the play button while watching live TV. Its not a 100% works every time workaround either.

I've seen this before and it turned out to be a driver issue, update your audio drivers and video drivers (even more if your using bitstream HDMI).

I would do this and try it again....

Might not fix it but, it might help

Lately I've noticed this happening when watching something in Media Browser, shutting off the TV and receiver for the night, and then trying to watch something the next morning. Only fix for me is starting something in MB3 and then going back to live or recorded TV.
