Recordings are missing metadata

I have a win 7 system running media center. Two things happened at the same time. My cable provider changed their channel lineup and my computer ran out of hard drive space (long story).

Anyway. I ran the setup again in wmc to try and fix and the guide now looks correct and displays the show metadata, but the recorded file does not have the episode details when I click on the file properties. I hope I did not corrupt wmc. This used to work. Are there any ways to fix or should I just reinstall?
