My sports strip is still working perfectly fine

Wasn't this supposed to go away? I still get the message when I first open it after starting WMC7 that it's being discontinued in December of 2013.

But the strip is still there and the "On Now" works just as it always has.

I just thought this was worth mentioning as it proves the feature is still in here somewhere and probably just needs enabled via some method.

The feature was removed via a guide update. Perhaps you didn't get that guide update?

I had lost my Sports strip a while back. I recently prebuilt my media center, and nits now back, but its not updated. Without the stream, I don't think there is any real value to the sports strip.

wish the Internet TV strip came back. Would love for that to be hacked to add more streaming services to it.

I was wondering why it disappeared.

The slow demise of WMC...

I don't know, I mean I have WMC guide updates turned on and it's been a couple of months now. I would assume if I wasn't getting guide updates my WMC guide wouldn't populate, which it does just fine.

And there is content and everything looks normal in the sports strip, including Fox Sports updates and the scores of the games.

But if the code to remove the Sports strip was only included in one guide update, and you missed that guide update, then your PC never received the code....thus your Sports strip would remain in place. Of course, this is just a theory. There could easily be another explanation.

If that's the case I guess I got lucky.

I too still have it. Not sure how I would've missed a guide update. I'm wondering if the changes I made with Media Center Studio could be the cause? Still, Internet TV disappeared when it was scheduled to.

Its unfortunate that its kind of worthless now. I loved being able to flip to other game scores and whatnot.

If someone ever makes another piece of cablelabs compliant DVR software I hope they allow multiple tuners to function as picture in picture. Would be great for sports.

Mine works like normal though. Does yours not show scores?

No, sometime I think last summer I stopped getting scores and league scheduling information. Most of the leagues disappeared from the screen.

Now I can see items labeled "sports" that are on in the On Now menu, but thats really it. I haven't got any data in close to a year.

I am running x64

Actually I should be clear, I get the scores on the "On now" button where you can watch the games in the window and browse other games on.

I don't get any more league info schedules or scores on the other buttons on the sports strip.
