Windows 8.1 My Media Center App Program Guide Problem

I purchased and installed the app for WIndows 8.1 a few days ago, absolutely love it. BUT I have an issue. When looking at a program in the program guide there is no information about the program. For example if I click on Mythbusters I would expect to see a description of what the program is about on the lower right of the program information window, instead it is blank. Interestingly recorded programs do not have this problem and the guide data is complete.

How can I fix this?

I started looking deeper into the forum and found several other threads referencing this bug. That would clearly mean it's time to fix it. Is there a plan to do so? Or is there a work around in the meanwhile?

In one thread I read the developer indicated it should be fixed in a week or two, that was 6 months ago.

Not trying to be difficult but isn't this the support forum? If so why haven't I received any replies from someone in the know? I'm very frustrated by this bug, it was supposed to be fixed long ago. Without program descriptions the guide is essentially useless to me.

Are you sure you are looking in the right place? The description is below the thumbnail image on the program info screen. Sometimes you will not see it if you don't scroll down a bit.

I would suggest trying the MMC beta services.

Its a bug in the windows 8 app. It still isn't fixed.
