You did it assbackwards. Watch BSG.

I didn't like Blood and Chrome at all. There was some really unforgiving writing, a lot of actors were reused from BSG as all different characters (which takes you out of the story), and the show should have been called Battlestar Galactica: Green Screen.

I was able to get into Caprica despite the fact that I never saw BSG - it worked in it's own right.

There's TV my wife watches, TV I watch, and TV we watch together. I don't get much time for TV I watch, and unfortunately sci-fi doesn't usually make the list (it's never as good as the book!), and I find it hard to get as engaged in sci-fi as I used to. (Maybe because in the 1980's there was still that "maybe someday..." promise that now I know will never be fulfilled).

I just meant you picked the lesser of the 2 to watch :P While BSG is very Sci-Fi, it also transcends the genre very much. I've gotten many people hooked on BSG who don't care for Sci-Fi at all.

When Caprica came on, I only had to commit to watch an episode at a time. To watch BSG, I'd have to commit to watching 4 whole seasons!

I have to admit that I have never seen a Battlestar Galactica TV show or movie before Blood & Chrome. I really enjoyed it.
