If all I needed was an extender, I would much rather find a Slim with a busted DVD drive than an old white Xbox any day, probably same price too. You seem to think that there are no Slims out there for $80 and I think you're wrong. How many people seriously play DVDs locally when, if they're savvy enough to build a whole-home WMC HTPC setup, can just as easily rip them and play over the network?
