Awesome but to me its too scary :D - I prefer the more sedentary (ie I'm a lazy git!!) pace of life and the only time I rode a motorbike was in France on the wrong side of the road when I was 21 and a tad drunk! Mmmm foolish!! And when I say motorbike and mean a 2 wheeled hair dryer! :D

Don't even try posting as Safari locks up for a while on the first key press.

meh....
Have managed to do some posts on WE on my iPhone 4 but what a PITA as you say. It doesn't lock safari on mine but it does take a few seconds to come back to life.

Windows Phone 7 isn't gonna make it. Save your money and go Android.

Just wanted to chime in and say Im liking the idea of getting a forum like this going. Its looking good so far. Its nice to see some of the regulars from the original TGB returning here. I spent alot of time on TGB, getting help mostly lol. If this can get us back to those times, it would be great. I really appreciate the links put up to all of the other community sites related to htpc, wmc, etc. This could end up being a go to place for discussion and help not just for whats posted here directly, but point new people to all the resources out there. I have used many websites in my pursuit of htpc builds to find all the tips and tweaks to get it just right so I know a newbie to all of this would appreciate one source to get to all of it.

Hi trooper11, welcome and thanks for the encouragement!
-We're open to all ideas for development for this site. Mr.M is devising a good setup for a Wiki, that should come to fruition soon.
Our policy is to act on building the site as soon as possible.

Well its great to hear such enthusiasm!

I think the biggest assest is leveraging all the great guides, wiki posts, websites, etc into a more centralized source. So it sounds like thats what you guys want to do, which would be cool.

Please don't take offense anyone, but why wouldn't you think this is the question I would ask. Although I think it is a good attempt, MS has never been successful in this arena aside from a small following of dedicated and extremely patient folks (similar to it's MC crowd). But they are up against iPhone and Android which are both awesome and have a huge market and time advantage. They'll just not be able to get the critical mass required unless they radically leapfrog the competition which in my humble opinion just isnt going to happen. Don't get me wrong, I wish them luck, but don't think it'll happen.

Plus, to non-followers, all it takes is looking at the history. Every device they have come up with has been obsoleted in a really bad way fairly quickly. Even Zune already dead....kin.... Nokia is betting on the wrong horse here...but maybe they'll do better in non-US markets. It's siilar to Palm and RIM. Too little too late to keep up with the competition and grasping at straws to old on.

My $.02 here. Don't mean for a holy war (especially in a thread that is so positive about our awesome new community) and respect that others will certainly feel differently. ;)

Absolutely no offense taken by me, and great info. I haven't really clued myself up on either model so am watching this thread eagerly. I am still in love with my iphone4. It's the screen mostly. Please anyone feel free to tell me what a sucker I am. I can take it.

-gotta love Tapatalk. I've been at a boring Rotary function all night and I think I've made 20 posts ;)

Hello to all,
Tim here in Huntington, WV. Started my HTPC with the PVR-150, when it was relatively new, and WinTV software. Moved to SageTV for dual tuner support and moved again to 7MC for Ceton cablecard support. Hard to believe how far this hobby has come.
