Plex and a Roku
Anyone try streaming recorded tv with Plex and a Roku? I'm going on vacation soon so I installed Plex and picked up a Roku to take with me. I tested it out. The shows start to play fine but buffer ever 30 seconds. I lowered the stream quality but it still buffers. My wifi router has been acting up lately so I'm wondering if that is the cause.

I do it at the house for one of the rooms we do not use very often. It works OK, however we have issues fast forwarding and rewinding. If you let the show play it works ok.

was using REMOTE POTATO to watch my TV shows over a long distance on my connected IPAD. that is an alternative that can work.

I bought the Roku 2XD and stopped working a couple days into my vacation. I exchanged it for a Roku 3. It worked pretty well for the most part. PlayOn works just as well as Plex so I'm going to stick with that.
