#1

Post by Plansberg » Sun Mar 17, 2013 1:39 pm

I wish a long life to this great forum.

Great to have all of you for help and share a knowledge.

I just bought a Echo, I try to update it and I my echo freezes on the updating screen, the progression bar is on middle.

My version is 2013.0129.1538
Update version proposed is 2013.0211.1642

Then after 2 or 3 min the echo reboots without any update done !

Anyone got this problem ?

Open a ticket with ceton and make sure you include your MAC ID. You will probably have to do a recovery on it which requires that the MAC ID of your echo be in their recovery server. They will give you instructions. The whole procedure takes about an hour to complete.

I had that once. I managed to update the Echo using the web page in the end, rather than going through the on screen menus. Have you tried a cold boot? (unplug the USB for a minute).

This is not a probleme to uddate it with an French ip ?
I see holidayboy is in UK so it must not be a problem right ?
What you mean by "using the web page at the end" ?

Find you echo's IP address on your network.
Open your browser.
Type in the IP address of the echo in the browser.
This will bring up the echo's web GUI.
Click "Update".
Report back.
