My Memories for Windows Media Center
A new add-in for 7/8MC to replace the built in photo screensaver.
http://www.mymemoriesmc.com/
Looks interesting. I do like the default screensaver, but it only shows the same handful of photos over and over again. I wonder if this is better at chosing a wider range of pictures.

Will definitely be trying this out as it looks like something my wife is going to love.. she hates that the extenders don't have the photo screensaver.

Looks promising! I too was unimpressed with whatever algorithm populates the photo wall... Maybe ill try this when i get home. Would be good for the GAF.

Nah, I'm stuck with it for a while yet!
When I first saw the add-in's name I thought of an actual history of Media Centre. That would be interesting, but only to a very small audience.

This is looking good so far. I also like the ability to interact with the screen saver. We are one of those families that gets stuck watching the screen saver, so I'm really looking forward to watching this.

I installed the free demo last night. Works well so far. It definitely shows pictures that the built-in screen saver never showed.

I like the look of that as well. We have well over 10,000 family pictures on our server, Media Center definitely doesn't show most of them. Will have to try it out soon.

I paid the 5 bucks for the full version. Very nice indeed.

I just tried this out as well. Like others have said, it's showing pictures I've never seen with the regular WMC screensaver. It's also getting the dates correct on the pictures. The WMC screensaver always showed only one date on all the pictures for me.

Does anyone know how to adjust the dim time on an xbox?
I'd like the xbox to dim after 1/2 hour or something, instead of 10 minutes. The dashboard only gives enabled and disabled (which doesn't even work).
I bought it too, btw. Didn't even try the trial first....

Since I installed it, I've noticed that my HTPC doesn't sleep correctly. I'm going to keep a closer eye on it to see if I can figure out the cause.

Looks nice ... especially the ability to use on extenders (even without the animations). A couple of questions:
- Does it keep track of what it has and has not displayed before and not repeat in between extecutions?
- How does it choose the groups to display? Is it totally random or by date or directory?
- Can it display other meta data -- I'd like to see at least title (Better yet configurable).
I'll probably grab simply for the extender capability even if does not do the above.
On a related note:
So I got fed up with the MS built-ins a while back and am currently using gPhotoShow with custom links within 7MC to kick them off. It has an ability to save a set of parameters that define how it operates as a standalone screensaver -- and hence I have several of them to do differing types of slideshows. It can do a snapshot type of photoshow (big picture in background overlayed by smaller snapshots) but has additional metadata capabilities such as title. It also can be set to only choose pictures on a specific screen from the same directory. And even better it remembers what it has and has not shown so far ... It even does random video clips which is way cool.
And no I am not affiliated with gPhotoShow at all
Cheers, Tony.

I "think" this plugin was developed by Mark Terborg, the developer of RecordedTVHD.aquadextrous wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 2:27 pmDoes anybody still have the setup files for My Memories?
You might be able to talk him into releasing the installers??
He's a member of The Green Button forum.
Sometimes he responds on the RecordedTVHD forum.
He runs a business called MJT Software & Services Inc. Their contact info is here.
If you're successful, maybe he would allow it to be uploaded to the Green Button archives?

Hi There,
Did you ever have any luck tracking down the installer for this?

I reached out to the original developer and he kindly shared the installer for users of this forum. It is the full version, which is now free to use.
I added to it a PDF of the FAQ from an archive of the original website. This serves as a manual of sorts.
