Used to work fine when the PC was Vista but after upgrading the XBox's system audio streaming no longer finds any albums/songs/etc. It finds the PC okay as a storage device, but no music.
It just sits there spinning for a ages and then says nothing found. Weirdly, one time it did come up with a few playlists but I still couldn't get the albums/songs etc to come up. Maybe we have too many files in the library (>24,000 including music, videos and photos)? But it used to work fine before on Vista.
The XBox can find the Windows 8 PC just fine because everything works in Media Center mode on the XBox, including all the music.
All the settings in Windows 8 control panel are setup to allow media sharing by "game consoles"
XBox can't stream music after upgrading to Windows 8
