CBeebies gone!
Hi All,
It seems that the BBC have decided to move around some of the Freesat channels to free up some bandwidth, unfortunately this includes CBeebies which is my little boys favourite channel!
The article explaining the move is;
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/aboutthebbc/ ... BBC-One-HD
Does anyone know how to read this and translate it into a channel number on Mediacenter? I re-scanned the transponder and mediacenter found 82 new channels however i cannot find CBeebies anywhere!
Please help, a little 2 year old needs you!
Sean.

Hi,
I feel your pain, I had a call from the wife today saying CBBC and CBeebies had gone, it's good to know it wasn't my HTPC! Basically you need to do a manual channel scan under Settings - TV and fill in the satellite details which can be found here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/info/sat ... cies.shtml
Apologies if the instructions are vague but I've just got into bed, drop me a line if you get stuck and I will get back to you in the morning

go to Tasks -> Settings -> TV -> TV Signal -> Satellite Transponder Scan. If presented with a list of satellites, choose the one you want to scan. On the next screen select the "manual scan" option, then proceed by entering the transponders tuning parameters.
i would personally use this http://en.kingofsat.net/news28.2E.php as my source for transponder settings. i can't help you any further as i use dvblink which simplifies this greatly

Morning,
Thanks for the info Bobob.
Well I did a manual scan this morning and it found nothing! So I had a look through the EPG and found CBeebies on channel 1266 so it must have moved back to a frequency it was on before.

High maintenance this PVR stuff, worth it though! Well if the scan doesn't find anything then hopefully it will be in your EPG somewhere, good luck!

HI Guys,
Found it eventually after a full scan, it was hiding on a channel i had de-selected (as wasn't previously in use). Channel was 617 in case that helps anyone else!
Thanks for all your help!

Glad you got it sorted!
Sorry but I should have suggested a piece if software called guide tool:
http://1geek1tool.com/guidetool
It's a fantastic bit of software that makes channel management a lot easier!
