Xbox functionality
I'm running WM7 with the Media Center plugin. I'll be setting up a hand-me-down xbox next week to use as an extender. Does the Media Center plugin transfer to the extender, or will I be forced to use the Movie Library to browse and play stored video files?

Hi,
Windows 7 Media Center by default will work with any XBox 360, but does not work with the original XBox. XBox 360 just needs to be on the same network and you have to run a setup wizard.

Hi, thank you for the reply. It will be an xbox 360, but one of the original ones (loud, prone to overheating, etc.).
I'm mainly concerned whether the Media Center plugin will be visible on the Xbox360, or whether I'll have to use the built in Movie Library. Do plugin's transfer to the extender?

Depends on the plugin some work on extenders some don't. Addins like Netflix don't but, My Movies and Media Browser should work on a Media Center Extender.
