I've found another one:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Conexant-USB- ... 415c69c636
it has revision 93010 (Pluscom is 25183)

Bobbob
could you check the revision of your modem?

Device Manager-> Modems -> Your Modem Properties -> Diagnostics Tab -> Query Modem
check the following value:
ATI3 - CX93001-EIS_V0.2002-V92
(do not forget to exit w7callerid before)

Did you get the same value "CX93001-EIS_V0.2002-V92"?

It looks like Conexant 93010 supports UK CID. Here is data sheet:

10$ USB 56K modem has the same chipset:

Just got a refund for the second modem they are saying they are out of stock.
Third time lucky? Will need to buy another modem again if I can find the right revision.
How hard is it to buy a modem off eBay lol.

Back when I was in Bighty ten years ago. I had a box full of low profile PCI modems that all did callerID. I chucked 'em :/

I'm still waiting for my modem to arrive, should be here before the end of the month, the trial ran out on the WHS box before I got to test it, can I uninstall and install it again? If I get it working happy to purchase your app, or maybe I can do a blog post review for a free copy!

Thanks
Stuart

Thank you! I think we have all been waiting for a callerid solution that actually works and by the sounds of what I have read this app is the solution! Looking forward to getting it setup.

I am a big fan of this program. Just have a few questions. If I have to do a clean install, will I be able to use the same activation key? I am also having a issue with the client app on 3 of my computers. For example. If I am using Google Chrome and someone calls, the notification will pop under Chrome. So I have to minimize my session to see who is calling. This doesn't happen on the server, it will pop over programs just fine on that computer. I noticed that someone posted on your website about the same issue. http://www.w7callerid.com/Forums/Thread ... 2&thread=9 Is there a workaround for this? Thanks for any help.

It feels like I've fixed Server and forgot about the client. I have a fix but I'll need you help to test the new version of client. Please send me e-mail to support@w7callerid.com
If you do clean install on the same PC it will work, if you are going to install it on the different computer you have to contact me(I do not charge for the second activation code)

I just wanted to say thanks to the developers of W7CallerID! Just bought the license the other day after first setting it up a few weeks ago. It is a great addition to our media center setup here - and is far more entertaining than I would have imagined... The kids crack up at the pictures I put in for Grandma and other family that call regularly. lol

I bought the suggested Rosewill modem from Newegg... Put that in my main desktop which is always on... and easily configured the Server app to share the home phone and my mobile phone (Bluetooth) with the other media center PCs in the house. Works great.
