Looks like you can upgrade to WMC8from regular windows 8 by just upgrading to pro. The big question is will MC8 have any new features
-Metro App
-Streaming Copy Once to other devices on the network
-Fix Bugs

If not Ceton Q and Echo looks like MC FUTURE>

It was already known that upgrading to Pro would allow you to get WMC, but there were a few people hoping to be able to get WMC without upgrading to Pro.

I'm concerned about the mention of tuner support. The post specifically points out broadcast tuner support, but fails to mention non-broadcast tuner support (such as CableCARD or NTSC tuners).

On the plus side, it looks like WMC will be very cheap.

My thought was you had to upgrade twice to go from standard to wmc before the post. If they lose cable card support and add no new features why would anyone pay? Just finishing listening to the DMZ podcast, and Blu Ray streaming and Netflix extenders are hinted. So the future for wmc looks to be more Ceton than MS.
