What's Happening on Monday?

My guess would be an announcement about availability of Q and/or Echo. These units may be using Intel Ivy Bridge CPUs that are covered by NDAs until then.

Don't think so, STC, but put me in the Q for one.

Maybe it is "Ceton has agreed in principle to purchase Windows Media Center and all associated technologies from Microsoft for an undisclosed sum" (with a "A spokesperson from Ceton said the first thing to do is to fix the guide issues reported to Microsoft by the Media Center Community")

or it is the Echo beta.

I am guessing the Echo beta. I think they said they plan to get the Echo out first which makes sense from a financial standpoint. Also you get a more technical group doing the beta testing compared to those who might be buying a Q.

Isn't the InfiniTV 6 still on the horizon?

Yeah, what STC said.

(The box I built last year is exhibiting issues; now two of the onboard SATA ports have died without warning. I'm down to one spare left. Don't know if it's the drive, the cable, the mobo, or some combination thereof. Maybe it's a sign I need a Q--but only if I can break the glass...)

Wish it was, but I have a feeling they won't be available until a few months after the Q comes out.

If it cost a quarter to travel around the globe, I might make it from Minneapolis to NYC right now. However I am very curious!
