As it's been over a year since an update was issued and there are numerous features of MMUI+ no longer working (moods from right side of information screen, RT scores, weather, sports etc) can we assume the project is finished?

Is development ended for this?
Is it worth the $15 or is a bunch of stuff broken in it?

The elements which rely on online data feeds seem very fragile and require frequent maintenance updates. Unfortunately that doesn’t appear to happen.
It is also a concern that the installer needs to download a resource file at installation time from a remote server. So future installations are reliant on that server being maintained.

Good to know, thank you.
I have no interest in data feeds.
I'm more interested in menu customization and menu timeout options.
So, I'll research to see if it meets my needs.

It is still maintained and supported. A future update is planned to restore broken data feeds for weather, sports, RT scores, etc. All other features are fully functional.

Does this include any options to customize the guide?
Like, remove some or all of the dynamic-based guide favorites.
Or rename them.

MMUI+ has its own guide that's quite different to the WMC one. For customisation of the normal guide epg123's tweak features are probably the easiest currently supported way.
But for renaming things you'll probably want to edit strings in something like 'media center themer' but that starts to get more in depth.

There are no specific options in UI+ to customize the guide beyond the provided modern theme and various metadata settings. However, you can use Media Center Themer to modify text in WMC.

Will weather data be fixed/ sports data? I'm debating on paying the $15, but the app lacking these features is really upsetting.

Are there any options to remove or modify the location of the time indicator I'm pointing at in this screenshot?
It's almost always blocking a score or some other important info when watching sports.
In this screenshot, it's blocking San Diego's score.
Pops up anytime I alt+tab to another window or move my mouse.
Maybe make it more transparent if it can't be removed or made smaller?
I rarely have a need to look at the time indicator. More like, never.

There are no options to change it. The element is part of WMC natively.

With Media Center Themer it is possible to customise most UI elements, including making things 100% transparent. I'm not sure how well MCT works alongside ModernMedia UI+ though.

It’s been over 3 years since an update now, with online data feeds being broken for much of that time. It would be great to get a final “sunset” release. One which has all reliance on online services for installation and operation removed so that what can work, will work, until people stop using it.

There are no viruses in this software. If you download the installer directly from windows10mediacenter.com and detect a virus, it's a false positive. Thousands of users have installed this application since its original release in 2018.

This is no longer supported as Microsoft has stopped providing metadata and other related services for WMC.

The Recorded TV HD add-in may be able to do this for you.
