Scrolling Large Playlists Freezes 7MC

I have several music playlists which I sometimes scroll down, intending to start playing part way through.
For playlists with less than 50 entries or so, this works fine.

But I noticed recently that large playlists (say over 100 tracks) cannot be scrolled down past around 60 or 70 before the media centre app freezes and no longer responds to any remote control commands, pending a reboot or intervention with a keyboard to kill the app with Task Manager.

The problem affects all my large playlists, even after deleting and recreating them, but after a quick search of the forums I can't find any such error reported.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, or found a fix/workaround?

I should have added that the same playlist .wpl files work correctly in Windows Media Player.
