I've been using EPG123 for a very long time with no issues. I just went to record a show and I have no guides. I'm sure I probably need to update the EPG software but i'm hoping i can just download it and run the installation. What worries me is how old my version is (i'm currently running 1.3.3.40). The other thing I'm not sure about is that schedulesdirect mentioned this when i re-registered "You have no SD-DD lineups configured. If you use the legacy service, you should add at least one lineup.". I didn't add anything here because i don't ever remember doing that in the past. Below is some of the errors in my log. I have plenty of different errors besides this but i'm guessing this except is the most important. i did see that schedules direct had a problem today but not sure if the errors from 1/5 are related.

That is a rather old version, at least 4 years old. There have been quite a few changes since then, both in how SD are doing things and how EPG123.
You are going to have to upgrade. A full install guide can be found:

Thanks - I think i have never changed EPG since I originally installed it. It worked just fine until now. I just imaged my hard drive and sometime during the coming week I will try to upgrade. Thanks for the quick reply.

Version 1.3.3.40 was from clear back on December 29, 2019. Most of the errors you've been getting the last couple years are due to changes on the SD servers. I'm actually surprised you can still login to get guide listings.

Your primary problem right now is your WMC database is corrupt. Newer versions of EPG123 will automatically run garbage cleanup on the database to keep it in shape. You can attempt to fix it manually by running a command shell and executing "START /WAIT c:\windows\ehome\mcupdate.exe -b -dbgc -updateTrigger" without the quotes. When it completes, you can see if an import succeeds or not. If not, then you will need to rebuild the database using the client [Rebuild WMC Database] button.

Download and run the latest setup file for epg123 to update. If it asks for a location, that means you used a "portable" version and you need to point the installer to the location epg123 is currently at.***
Once done, delete your current scheduled task and create a new one.

*** NOTE: if you had manually added it to the Program Files folder, you will have to jump through a couple more hoops. You will need to copy the epg123.cfg file from the Program Files folder you installed it to and place it in the c:\programdata\garyan2\epg123 folder.

thanks Gary - today i did the 'save and exit' as well as rebuilding the WMC Database. The WMC database update is what fixed the issue. It's working again now.

Believe it or not, this is the first time i can remember having any problems with EPG. I haven't checked the logs but never noticed an issue. it's been running well for many years!

I do have one other question. I'm going to install the latest version (not the beta) from your site. Do i just run the (non-portable) install package and it installs over the old one? I don't think i did anything out of the ordinary with my original install so hopefully i'm OK. it's currently installed at "c:\programData\GaRyan2".

I will create an image of my win7 partition tomorrow before the install and then try to install the new version.

I just upgraded to the latest version and everything seems to be working. I was wrong as my epg123 was in the program files(x86) directory so i checked for the epg123.cfg after install and it was already in the programdata\epg123 folder. During installation I just picked the default settings and let the install go. The scheduled task hasn't run yet so i'll know for sure tomorrow at 8am if all is well but i don't see why it wouldn't work. Below are the logs after the install. thanks again for your help!
