There was an error on the last update

#1

Post by testflight » Mon Dec 25, 2023 7:48 pm

I've had problems lately and now I'm down to 3 days left on my schedule guide. I just updated to V1.8.2.7 and ran the task scheduler several times and get an error each time.

My lineup show as:

EPG123 Cox Comm North County (Vista) and ZZZ123 Dummy Lineup.I tried deleting the Dummy but it comes back anyway.

Everytime, I get an error, " HTTP request exception thrown". I'm assuming this is the issue, but I can't figure out how to fix it.

Thanks for the help, I hope.

Your lineup has changed (removed). The new lineup probably has an ID of USA-CA04863-X (old is USA-CA04863-DEFAULT). You should have gotten an email from Schedules Direct telling you the change was coming.

Thanks. How do I change the lineup to USA-CA04863-X? Can I just update the data from a file or do I need start with a new setup to get the new lineup?

Just open the configuration GUI, click the [Lineups] button, delete your current lineup, click the [Add New] button, and select the new lineup to add it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it might be easier to add the new lineup first, compare the old and new lineup so you can uncheck the same channels in the new lineup you have unchecked in the old lineup, then delete the old lineup.

But I've never done this before, so there may be good reasons to delete the old lineup first.

There is nothing to compare between the 2 lineups. The old lineup is now empty. Also, the stations that the user has selected to download or ignore have not changed their IDs, so with the new lineup the same stations will be selected/unselected.

Also, there is no way to differentiate between the old and new lineup in the main configuration GUI form nor the lineups add/remove form. The 2 lineups have the exact same titles and they do not show what the lineup IDs are. Best to delete the current (old) lineup before adding the new lineup.

Great, this worked. I got a bit confused trying to update the schedule, but finally notice the 'Update Guide Now' selection in the tray. However, I got more confused when I looked at the guide in WMC and found no data. Looking further, I am getting plenty of data, but none of it is what I use, none of the main networks aren't showing up. I get QVC and seemingly channels above 77, but most stations from 5 to 71 are missing.

Will they show up tonight?

Thanks,

I'd need to see your log file to know exactly what is going on. I don't know if you have automatch enabled and/or autoadd new stations enabled. Either way, open the configuration GUI and verify the channels are selected for download. If not, enable them and then click [Save & Execute].

Open the client, select the new lineup on the right side pulldown and then click the Match by: [# Number] button. That should take care of it.

I didn't find " automatch enabled and/or autoadd new stations enabled". All the channels were checked, but I clicked on All to check all channels.

I also clicked on 'Clear Cache', then picked 'Save & Execute'.

What's really strange after doing another earlier Update Guide Now, my Guide had gotten worse and the logos and call signs had disappeared for the major networks.

Anyway, I noticed the task bars 'Save & Execute' seemed a bit different, likely rebuilding the cache message. Whether that was it, I don't know, but I've got it all with logos and a full 14 days of the guide.

Thank you,
Rod
