Hi
I'm a Windows Insider tester, also a long-term WMC user. From the Win 11 compilation 25131 (latest is 25140) I can't watch TV from external cable tuner in WMC. On each channel, regardless paid or free I've got famous message "Copying Prohibited. The broadcaster prohibits this content from being copied. You can only play this content on the same computer on which it was recorded."
I found same posts about solution of similar problem on Win 7 or Win 10 (it is DRM-connected problem probably) and I try it, but it isn't work. The solutions based on removing some files/folders from Program Data/Microsoft/PlayReady and /Ehome, but in Win 11 there's no mentioned files/folders. Is there any other solution?
My WMC is latest MSI version from Gargyan, which I consider the best. My TV-Tuner is Hauppauge HVR-2200, connected by S-Video with external STB SagemFast 88 from Polish operator Orange (I'm living in Poland). It's also connected with DVB-T aerial. I can watch TV by Hauppauge Win 10 software, also I can watch TV from aerial be WMC.

Something to try.
I found out that the DVD Player app installed with WMC has a "feature" that if you install any language packs after the app is installed, you need to uninstall it and then reinstall it. This may be related to your problem.

Ha today (well, tonight, in Poland we have 1:35 AM) the "Copying prohibited..." problem mysteriously disappear. I've changed my TV-tuner to Hauppauge HVR-5525. Cable STB Sagem UDH88 (from Polish provider Orange) is connected by Composite. WMC 8.9.1 by Garyan (.msi file), in fact I don' reinstall it, only repair after last Windows update. Windows 11 Pro latest Insider test compilation v.25982.

Unfortunately, the problem's back. Today I've got the infamous message "Copying prohibited..." and can't watch cable TV. Yesterday it worked well, and I don't install any new software nor hardware, not changing any config etc. What the hell...?
EDIT: I'm completely puzzled. After some hours I've turn WMC on again - and it work again, no ""Copying prohibited..." error, can watch cable TV as previously. I don't have change anything, don't try WMC reinstallation, no new settings, not installing any upgrade etc.
What would be the reason of such strange situation? Previously, some years ago when I have the same problem with "Copyright prohibited..." it clearly can't be repaired, any tried method, any suggestion I found, even clean Windows installation on new SDD doesn't help. Today it's disappeared without anything.
