Hi

Here in the UK

After upgrading to windows 11 from Windows 10 i tested WMC 8.85 with a old dual TV USB CARD 8-)

To my surprise WMC 8.85 works on Windows 11

the version of windows i used was from the uup dump site and compiled overnight. :o

and I used a driver updater called Driver Reviver

Nice! That build looks like the release version, same as mine: 22000.194. Very glad to hear that my WMC will live on, since I think I won't be able to resist upgrading to Win11, especially now that I found a script to install it without worrying about TPM, secure boot, etc.

I just installed Win11 and WMC 8.8.5 doesn't launch.

Hopefully, it's an easy fix. :(

It works even on latest Win 11 Windows Insider test compilation (v. 22471.1000)
There's some small issues: WMC must be manually reinstalled after each upgrade; also the BackupRestore function doesn't work, after installation I must detect TV tuners and search channels. But after doing this WMC 8.8.5 works properly.

Backuprestoresettings kind of works but it puts the tuners back exactly as they were before the upgrade. Unfortunately the tuners are often given new GUIDs in the upgrade so WMC can't see them any more.

However, Gary made some changed to EPG123 that can fix the problem and it seems to work well.
